Common but Wrong Expressions

He likes to argue prices a lot (nonstandard).
He likes to haggle prices a lot (standard). The word “haggle” means to argue for a better deal, especially over prices with a seller.

Why couldn’t you horn (nonstandard)?
Why couldn’t you honk (standard)? To use a car horn is to honk.
