Getting it right

English for Today by Ganiu Abisoye Bamgbose (GAB)

Be reminded:

To be determined or to tackle a task with determination is TO BUCKLE DOWN (not, buckle up). To buckle up is to fasten one’s seat belt: So if you must be successful, you have to buckle down.

When you have the trait of being quick to anger, you’ve got a SHORT TEMPER (not, hot temper) but you can be hot-tempered: And if you must remain with us in this organisation, you’ve got to work on your short temper.
