GRAMMAR NOTE

I hate when people have ~long throat~ (nonstandard).
I hate when people groak (standard).
Although the word is obscure, to groak is to stare at people who are eating in the hope that they will offer to share their food.

Kunle and I are not on ~talking terms~ (nonstandard).
Kunle and I are not on speaking terms (standard).If you are on speaking terms with someone, you are quite friendly with them and often talk to them.
