Teachers’ Day

Happy ~Teachers Day~ to me and everyone in the business of affecting lives (nonstandard).
Happy Teachers’ Day to me and everyone in the business of affecting lives (standard). Take note of the apostrophe.

We should all ~seize~ this opportunity to celebrate our teachers (nonstandard).
We should all cease this opportunity to celebrate our teachers. Note that “seize” is different from “cease”.

Teachers ~impact~ us daily that we may live a life of impact (nonstandard).
Teachers impart us daily that we may live a life of impact (standard). The action of making information known is ‘imparting’ while the action of having a strong effect on someone or something is ‘impacting’.
When teachers impart us daily, they indirectly impact our lives; God bless teachers!
