WITH OR WITHOUT -ING?

Many of them are known for ~money laundry~ scandals (nonstandard).
Many of them are known for money laundering scandals (standard). Money laundering is the crime of processing stolen money through a legitimate business or sending it abroad to a foreign bank, to hide the fact that the money was illegally obtained.

He is ~stinky rich~ (nonstandard).
He is stinking rich (standard).
If you say that someone is filthy rich or stinking rich, you disapprove of them because they have a lot of money.

Is he the ~panicking~ type (nonstandard)?
Is he the panicky type (standard)?
While it is correct to say “someone is/was panicking”, the adjectival form of the word is “panicky”.
