STUFF or STUFFS?
I need to get some ~stuffs~ from that shop (nonstandard).
I need to get some stuff from that shop (standard). You can use stuff to refer to things such as a substance, a collection of things, events, or ideas, or the contents of something in a general way without mentioning the thing itself by name.
~Foodstuff~ are seriously expensive now (nonstandard).
Foodstuffs are seriously expensive now (standard).
Note that “foodstuff” is a singular noun often used in plural form but which can also be used as a singular noun:
We depend on rice as a basic foodstuff in Nigeria. ✔️
