Wrong Usages in English

Do you know that:

The *peace talks* is to be held in Geneva. (not, peace talk). A discussion between persons or people is a talk while a series of formal meetings between two or more nation-states or groups of people held to resolve a conflict is known as peace talks.

She lacks *table manners* (not, manner). Manner means the way things are done while manners refer to the polite way of behaviour).

Many pastors *speak in tongues* (not, tongue). To speak using a strange language is to speak in tongues.

Say:

Do not write *in the margin* (not, on the margin).

Students *go to extremes* to have good grades (not, extreme, or to the extreme). To do something to an extreme degree is to go to extremes or take something to extremes

Men of God should not use *occult power* (not, occultic).
