Apostrophe is a punctuation mark. This mark performs 3 main functions in English.
- It is used to pluralise numbers and letters:
Circle the 3s and fs in the solution. ✖️
Circle the 3’s and f’s in the solution. ✔️ - It is used to show abbreviation of words:
Intl ✖️
Int’l ✔️ - It is used to indicate ownership:
