BREATH or BREATHE?
Breath is a noun and it is the air taken into or expelled from the lungs. It is pronounced like bread with the last th pronounced like that of think: I was gasping for breath.
Breathe is a verb and it means to move air into and out of the lungs. It is pronounced like breeze with the last “the” pronounced like that of “than”: She could hardly breathe.
