Common Errors

I will do my ~possible best~ to get you the book (nonstandard).
I will do my ~best possible~ to get you the book (nonstandard).
I will do my *level best* to get you the book (standard).
If you say that you will do your level best to do something, you are emphasising that you will try as hard as you can to do it, even if the situation makes it very difficult.

This house is not ~for sell~ (nonstandard).
This house is not *for sale* (standard).
If something is for sale, it is being offered to people to buy.

She plans to visit an ~orphanage home~ on her birthday (nonstandard).
She plans to visit an *orphanage* on her birthday (standard).
An orphanage is a place where orphans live and are looked after.
