COMMON ERRORS

I left my office during the ~rushing hour~ (nonstandard).
I left my office during the *rush hour* (standard).
The rush hour is one of the periods of the day when most people are travelling to or from work.

I will be in England in the ~nearest future~ (nonstandard).
I will be in England in the *near future* (nonstandard).
I will be in England in the *not-too-distant* future (standard).
If you say that something will happen in the near future, you mean that it will happen quite soon.
