COMMON ERRORS

He did the work under the ~eagle eyes~ of his supervisor (nonstandard).
He did the work under the *eagle eye* of his supervisor (standard).
If you talk about a person’s eagle eye, you mean that they are watching someone or something carefully or are very good at noticing things.

In her ~hey days~, she could publish five papers in a year (nonstandard).
In her *heyday*, she could publish five papers in a year (standard).
Someone’s heyday is the time when they are most powerful, successful, or popular.
