Common Errors

A million naira is a ~chicken change~ for him (nonstandard).

A million naira is *chicken feed* for him (standard).

If you think that an amount of money is so small it is hardly worth having or considering, you can say that it is chicken feed. Note that “chicken feed” is a non-count noun and should not be used with “a”.

I saw them entering the place with ~my corner eye~ (nonstandard).

I saw them entering the place with my ~one eye~ (nonstandard).

I saw them entering the place *from the corner of my eye* (standard).

I saw them entering the place *out of the corner of my eye* (standard).

If you see something out of/from the corner of your eye, you see it but not clearly because it happens to the side of you.
