HANDIWORK or HANDWORK?
If this is your ~handwork~ , then you’re a good designer (nonstandard).
If this is your handiwork , then you are a great designer (standard).
Note that handiwork is something that one has made or done while handwork means work done with the hands and not by machine:
Beaded dresses require many hours of handiwork (nonstandard).
Beaded dresses require many hours of handwork (standard).
Again, be informed that handiwork is sometimes used in both senses.

I was going to ask sir
‘If this is handwork, then you are a good designer’.
Would this not be correct if one has designed using pencil and paper?
