Avoid making friends with gossipers (standard).
Avoid making friends with gossips (standard). Note that while “assassinator” and “sponsorer” are yet to be found in any standard dictionary, “gossiper” is already being popularised in some dictionaries such as Merriam-Webster. Nevertheless, “gossip” is still the formal variant as of now.
