LIKING OR LIKENESS?

LIKING means a feeling of regard or fondness:
My likeness for her won’t let me get angry with her. ✖
My liking for her won’t let me get angry with her. ✔. To be emotionally connected to someone is described as liking (not likeness).

LIKENESS means the fact or quality of being alike; resemblance: Kunle’s liking to his dad is astonishing. ✖
Kunle’s likeness to his dad is astonishing. ✔
