MARCH or MATCH?

This March, we are ready to ~match~ into greatness (nonstandard).
This March, we are ready to march into greatness (standard). To walk in a military manner with a regular measured tread is to march.

We are preparing for a ~match past~ (nonstandard).
We are preparing for a march-past (standard). A formal march by troops past a saluting point at a review is a march-past.

Can’t miss the Liverpool-Arsenal ~march~ for any reason (nonstandard).
Can’t miss the liverpool-Arsenal match for any reason (standard).

His anger ~marched~ her own (nonstandard).
His anger matched her own (standard).
