ON POSSESSION AND APOSTROPHE

  1. A plural noun that does not end in s attracts apostrophe and an s:
    Children’s bag.
    Men’s wear.
  2. A plural noun that ends in s takes Apostrophe alone:
    Boys’ bag
    Ladies’ wear.
  3. When two or more things are jointly owned, the last owner to be mentioned takes the apostrophe:
    Brown and Levison’s politeness theory.
    Kunle, Femi and Dare’s initiative.
