On “Site”, “Cite” and “Sight”

English for Today by Ganiu Abisoye Bamgbose (GAB)

On “site”, “cite” and “sight”

Site is the place where anything is fixed; situation; local position; as, the site of a city or of a house: I will take you to my new site.

Cite means to quote; to repeat as a passage from a book, or the words of another: When you talk classroom discourse in Nigeria, you just have to cite Adeleke Fakoya at least once.

Sight means the ability to see: I know an emeritus professor with a very good sight.

Task:

If I can indirectly cite Habakkuk 2:2, then I’ll say every vision is a site that you must first capture with a clear inner sight.

Can you try to use these words in just a sentence too?
