The doctor said he can still be ~cured from~ the disease (nonstandard).
The doctor said he can still be cured of the disease (standard). Cure, as a verb, collocates with the preposition “of” and with the preposition “for” as a noun:
He found a cure for the illness.
May we not ~die from~ coronavirus (nonstandard).
May we not die of coronavirus (standard). Note that people die of a disease or illness. However, die can collocate with a number of other prepositions: people can die BY violence, die IN battle, die FOR a cause, die THROUGH neglect. It is essential to understand the context of use and the appropriate preposition.
