I waited for one and a half hours (standard). Note that plural doesn’t begin from two; plural is anything more than one.

This is the man behind the scenes (standard). A person who is out of sight of the public at a theatre or organisation is said to be behind the scenes.
We were packed like sardine (nonstandard).
We were packed like sardines (standard). To be crowded very close together is to be packed like sardines.
