SOME VERY COMMON ERRORS

She’s known for her hot temper (nonstandard).
She’s known for her short temper (standard). A person who has short temper is said to be hot-tempered but you won’t say such a person has a hot temper.

It took grace to scale through the final stage (nonstandard).
It took grace to sail through the final stage (nonstandard). To move or proceed through in an easy, quick, and smooth way is to sail through.

I know and manage my weaking point (nonstandard).
I know and manage my weak point (standard). A failing; a characteristic that makes someone vulnerable is a weak point.
