Three Variants of H
H-ful words: These words are articulated with the /h/ sound: house, how, abhor.
H-less words: The h in these words is not articulated: hour, honour, honest.
Optional H- Some few words in English give the option of either sounding the h in some words or leaving it out. One of such words is hotel.
The next lecture will address some peculiar cases of H in Nigeria.
