*Afford/Avoid*

To afford is to bear or provide:
I cannot *afford* to stop at this point.
I cannot *afford* that amount.

To avoid is to keep away from:
*Avoid* anything you can’t *afford*.

*Feasible/Visible*

Anything is feasible when it can be done in practice or achieved: Our plan to be the leading institution is *feasible*.

Anything is visible when it can be seen: The building is *visible* from here.

*Eligible/illegible*

To be eligible is to have the right to do or obtain something: He is *eligible* to become the VC.

To be illegible is to be unclear enough to be read: Ever seen GAB’s writing? It’s almost *illegible*.
