Palate is the roof of the mouth and a person’s ability to taste good food and wine: Some sounds are realised through the palate.

pallet is a low portable platform: The goods were kept on the pallet.

Palette is a thin board with curved edges and a hole for your thumb, used by artists to mix their paints on while they are painting: The artist couldn’t find his palette.
