TAG QUESTIONS

Rule 3
When there is no auxiliary verb in a sentence, use “do”, “does” and “did” for the tag. Do is used with plural subject and present tense, does is used with singular subject and present tense and did is used with singular or plural subjects and past tense:
They like him. Don’t they?
He likes him. Doesn’t he?
They liked him. Didn’t they?

Rule 4
Use “has”, “have” and “had” for the tag when they precede another verb, but use “does”, “do” and “did” for “has”, “have” and “had” respectively when they are used alone:
He has finished. Hasn’t he?
He has money. Doesn’t he?

Now, fix these for yourself

  1. They haven’t had it.
  2. He had all he needed.
  3. He has got it right.
  4. They did allow him.
  5. He hadn’t graduated when I last saw him.
